Departure from the hotel at 08h30 in the Monster Truck.  Following small roads, crossing rivers and small villages, participants will discover the typical dominican lifestyle.  A first stop will introduce you to the dominicans’ preferred pastime : cockfighting.  A demonstration fight will be put on (the spurs will be protected to avoid injuries).  Your guide will then take you along a track crossing fields of sugar cane.

First test :  Sugar cane cutting (following a demonstration).  The teams will have a limited time to cut the maximum amount of sugar cane.

The route will continue across plantations and haitian « bateys » (villages of the sugar cane workers) .  And then on to a very pretty village « El Gato » with a hundred or so inhabitants, and its church , its school and its grocery store.  Here you will discover the dominican village lifestyle.  Next a walk to the banks of the rio Chavon (10 mins).

Second test :  Constructing a bamboo raft and race on the Rio de Chavon in a magnificent and exuberant setting, to the Cabana de Chavon.

Welcome cocktail and coconut milk at the Cabana Chavon and lunch :  salads, shellfish, typical dominican meals (chicken, red kidney beans, rice), seasonal fruit, drinks (1 bottle of wine for 4 people, soft drinks, water, coffee, Mamajuana).

Third test :  Adventura course with a number of tests

Examples :

Treasure hunt in a tarantula park : participants will be required to recuperate from inside a cage containing a number of tarantulas, small rolls of paper containing points, with the help of a stick or any other object they find.

Catching crayfish competition (depending on the number of crayfish caught)

Jungle vine jumping

Canoe relay racing on the river

At the end of the afternoon, down the river by boat to the Represa (dam) and then return to the hotel.
